She received her Diploma in Architectural Engineering in 1999, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds an MSc in "Environment and Development", (2002) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She holds a PhD titled: "Evaluation of vernacular architecture of mountainous areas using Environmental Economics methods", from NTUA (2012). Her research interests focus on the areas of Cultural Economics, Vernacular architecture, Urban and Regional Planning and Regional Development. In specific, in the built environment, the social development and the culture of mountain regions. She is a researcher of M.I.R.C since 2005 and she is participating in the teaching of courses in the MSc Programme "Environment and Development of Mountainous Areas", since 2008. She is, also, Teaching Laboratory Personnel at A.U.TH, where she teaches undergraduate courses of Urban Planning, Regional Development and Technical Drawing, at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering. She has over 30 publications in international and Greek journals and conferences.
